Rachelle's Orchestra Concert

Curt and I have been sick this weekend. In fact, my sore throat started a week ago Wednesday. I'm ready to be over this nasty stuff.

In spite of being sick, we made it to Rachelle's orchestra concert Saturday night. We were so glad we got to spend a few hours with her, and we enjoyed the concert immensely.

We spent part of our time Saturday at the Hillsdale coffee shop where we all worked on various things as we chatted and enjoyed Jilly Bean's yummies.

Then by supper time, Uncle Keith, Aunt Rachel, and "Aunt" Dorinda arrived, and we all went out for a nice supper before the concert.

Rachelle was happy to see her "Aunt" Dorinda

and her Aunt Rachel,
and she put up with her Uncle Keith  ;)
This pic is especially for LaRae.
Emily, here with Rachelle, was LaRae's violin student while LaRae attended Hillsdale,
and this was Emily's first time to be in the Hillsdale College orchestra!
We're all so proud of her for her diligence and accomplishment.
She's still in high school but auditioned and made the orchestra.
I love to see diligent, disciplined young people!
Our world needs more of them.
Rachelle and her roommate, Emily.
W'e're thankful for her!
We enjoyed going out for ice cream after the concert
with her and her boyfriend, Caleb.
It's an honor getting acquainted with these Hillsdale College students.
They speak well for their parents and the college.

Sick or not, it was a wonderful weekend.
