Special Days With Our Girls

Rachelle, Principal 2nd violinist as a college freshman, waits for her big sister to arrive.
We are so happy for Chelle to have had this honor--of leading the 2nd violins.
Needless to say, we are proud of her and thankful she has been willing to
do the hard work it takes to build skills like this.
LaRae soloed with the Hillsdale orchestra this past week, playing the beautiful first movement of
Mozart's 5th Concerto in A. I've linked the concerto, and if you'd like to listen to it on YouTube,
click on "Mozart's 5th" above. LaRae played a different cadenza then Itzhak Perlman plays on this recording,
but everything else is the same.
Dr. Holleman congratulates LaRae on a beautiful performance.
It was pristine--a crystal clean, brilliant Mozart performance.
Curt and I are thankful for her unwavering diligence and
commitment to always do her best.
Curt happily gives his firstborn a dozen red roses.
After the intermission, LaRae came back to lead the orchestra (as concertmistress) in
Braham's Symphony #2.
I love it when she wears her hair down.
She's often too busy to take the time, but
her sister talked her into it for this performance. ;)

We were thrilled that both my parents, Curt's mother,
and one aunt and uncle from each side of the family were able to attend the concert.
That was very special for the girls and us!

Gratefully,
